Christmas market at the Dam

As part of the event Winterworld 2006 the Dam will be transformed into a characteristic Christmas market from 6 until 26 December 2006. The 600 square metres skating rink will be surrounded by some 25 stalls shaped like wooden chalets with a wide variety of Christmas presents, wintry snacks and old trades. The Christmas market will feature a large crib and a festively illuminated Christmas tree of over 10 metres in height. The event is completed with suitable music which allows visitors to get into a proper Christmas spirit. Winterworld is open daily from 10 am to 22 pm. Note that Amsterdam is always a much frequented place from November onwards, because of visitors who do their Christmas shopping here. The skating rink will stay at the Dam until 7 January.
