Christmas in Nice

Christmas village from 9th December 2005 to 1st January 2006

For the tenth consecutive year, the Nice Convention and Visitors Bureau will organise the Christmas village.

Located this year in the "Albert Ier" gardens, from 9th December 2005 to 1st January 2006, every day from 11 am to 7 pm -10 pm on Saturdays-, fifty chalets will feature products based mainly on the Christmas theme.

In the centre of the village, a large skating rink will welcome experienced or novice skaters alike for 4 sessions each lasting one and a half hours.

The heart of the village is lit up when Sweden offers the traditional Christmas tree for the St. Lucy celebrations. In a wintry setting which sets the tone of the festivities, visitors will discover the village and the different attractions proposed each weekend. Children and their families will be able to make the most of the play area; a big wheel, inflatable attractions, but also tale-telling, magic, make-up and shows … fun for all!

On Sunday 18th December, from 11am to 5pm, the "journée du Haut Pays Niçois", an annual get-together with sheep, goats, horses and which gives the Promenade des Anglais a decidedly pastoral look, around the band stand vintage farm vehicules, lumberjacks, shepherds, and other farmers and craftsmen offer tasting sessions and sell their produce.
