Merry Christmas in the Bijbels Museum

In the period from 22 December 2004 until 9 January 2005 the Bijbels Museum (Biblical Museum) will be seasonally decorated and illuminated. The museum is accommodated in one of Amsterdam's finest canal-side houses along Herengracht. The 17th and 18th century interior has survived the ravages of time largely intact, including the ceiling paintings by Jacob de Wit in the large hall, the stairwell and the kitchens. On 25 and 26 December the museum will present a continuous programme that will appeal to visitors of all ages, including the annual Christmas concert and performances of the table theatre and the magic lantern. During the children's Christmas school holiday there will be several magic lantern shows coupled to activities specially intended for children. A sing-along concert is scheduled for Wednesday 29 December (with reservation).
